I’m drawn to the parts of software that have to be right — the data models, APIs, and pipelines a product quietly depends on. I tend to chase correctness and traceability over shortcuts: on AoMatch I linked every extracted field back to its exact source sentence so reviewers could trust the output, and on TripSplit I added database-level transaction locking so a group’s shared balances are never off by a cent.

I do most of this in Node, Express, FastAPI, and PostgreSQL on AWS, and I sharpened it during a backend internship at Attention.ad. Outside of building, I help run the CS Club and SPU Developers Club.
